Betrayal

I feel that I have betrayed you,

Yet I have only heard your voice.

I feel that I have betrayed you,

Yet I can only see the back of your head.

I feel that I have betrayed you,

Because I have seen the clothes you wear

I feel that I have betrayed you,

Because I liked your nose-ring.

I feel that I have betrayed you,

Because I wasn’t me.

I feel that I have betrayed you,

because of a memory.

I feel that I have betrayed you,

Because I wasn’t me then.

I feel that I have betrayed you,

You saw me out of the corner of your eye

I feel that I have betrayed you,

Because I didn’t know what to do

I feel that I have betrayed you,

Because I saw you adjusting your make-up,

I feel that I have betrayed you,

Because I blushed.

I feel that I have betrayed you,

Because of the way I stood.

I feel that I have betrayed you,

because of where I looked.

I feel that I have betrayed you,

for looking in the mirror.

I feel that I have betrayed you,

For looking at him.

I feel that I have betrayed you,

for drinking too fast.

I feel that I have betrayed you,

For not looking into your eyes.

I feel that I have betrayed you,

by not telling you.

I feel that I have betrayed you,

by loving you.
